 "Mentha oil up 0.5% on industrial demand")
Mentha oil prices rose 0.54% to Rs 696.90 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions, tracking a firming trend at spot markets on strong industrial demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in August gained Rs 3.80, or 0.54%, to Rs 696.90 per kg in business turnover of 276 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in September moved up by Rs 3.70, or 0.52% to Rs 709.50 per kg in 40 lots.
Market analysts said the rise in mentha oil at futures trade was mostly attributed to strong demand from consuming industries in the spot markets amid lower arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
