Mentha oil futures remain up, gain 1.49% on rising demand
Press Trust of India New Delhi Continuing its rising streak for the fifth day, mentha oil prices advanced by 1.49 per cent to Rs 986.70 per kg in futures trading today as participants engaged in enlarging their positions, taking positive cues from spot market on strong demand from consuming industries.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in November month rose by Rs 14.50, or 1.49 per cent to Rs 986.70 per kg in business turnover of 342 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in December month contracts traded higher by Rs 12.20, or 1.24 per cent to Rs 992.50 per kg in 236 lots.
Analysts said besides strong demand from consuming industries in the spot market, restricted supplies from producing belts mainly kept mentha oil prices higher at futures trade.
