Mentha oil remain weak on higher supply

Mentha oil prices fell 0.22% to Rs 676 per kg in futures trade today as participants trimmed positions amid higher supplies from producing regions against sluggish from consuming industries in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange market, mentha oil for delivery in November eased by Rs 1.50, or 0.22% to Rs 676 per kg in business turnover of 25 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in December contract shed Rs 1.40, or 0.20% to Rs 690.80 per kg in 118 lots.

Analysts said besides ample stocks position on increased arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, subdued demand from consuming industries in the spot market mainly kept pressure on mentha oil prices at futures trade.
