Mentha oil prices eased by 0.31 per cent to Rs 934 per kg in futures trading today on emergence of profit-booking at prevailing levels by participants driven by a decline in domestic demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in June month fell by Rs 2.90, or 0.31 per cent to Rs 934 per kg in business turnover of 57 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in May contracts edged lower by Rs 2.30, or 0.25 per cent to Rs 919.90 per kg in 216 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in mentha oil futures to profit-booking by speculators at existing higher levels and easing demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
