Mentha oil futures up 0.65% on pick up in spot demand

Mentha oil futures prices today rose by 0.65 per cent to Rs 831.30 per kg after traders created fresh positions, driven by pick-up in domestic as well as export demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in February gained Rs 5.40, or 0.65 per cent, to Rs 831.90 per kg, with a trading volume of 356 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in January edged up by Rs 4.20, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 819 per kg, with a business turnover of 213 lots.
Marketmen said a firming trend at the spot markets on the back of rising domestic a nd export demand against restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade here.
