Mentha oil up 0.6% on rising demand

Marketmen said besides restricted arrivals, a firming trend at the spot markets on firm industrial and export demand, influenced the prices

Mentha oil prices up by Rs 4.20 to Rs 674.30 per kg in futures trade today as traders engaged in creating positions supported by strong demand at spot markets from consuming industries.

Besides, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced pirces.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in October rose Rs 4.20, or 0.62%, to Rs 674.30 per kg, with a trading volume of 519 lots.

The prices for delivery in September also traded higher by Rs 4, or 0.60%, to Rs 664 per kg, with a business turnover of 522 lots.

Marketmen said besides restricted arrivals, a firming trend at the spot markets on firm industrial and export demand, mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade here.
