At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March rose by Rs 5.70, or 0.74 per cent, to Rs 770 per kg, clocking a business volume of 31 lots.
The oil for February delivery traded higher by Rs 4.10, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 757.90 per kg, with a trading volume of 200 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by speculators on the back of a rise in demand from consuming industries in the spot market against restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh led to rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
