At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September rose Rs 4.00, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 854.90 per kg, clocking a business volume of 116 lots.
The oil for October delivery traded higher by Rs 4.00, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 862.40 per kg, with a trading volume of 274 lots.
Marketmen said fresh positions built up by speculators, driven by rising demand from consuming industries in the spot markets against restricted supplies from Chandausi led to rise in mentha oil prices in futures trade.
