 "Mentha oil up 0.6% on rising demand")
Mentha oil prices gained 0.61% to Rs 731.60 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions on good demand in spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in December gained Rs 4.50, or 0.61%, to Rs 731.60 per kg, with a trading volume of 414 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in January 2015 edged up by Rs 4.50, or 0.60%, to Rs 742.90 per kg, with a business turnover of 227 lots.
Marketmen said a firming trend at the spot markets amid restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade here.
