Menthol prices fell further by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on reduced offtake by consuming units amidst adequate stocks.
Increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh also weighed on the menthol prices.
Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices eased by Rs 5 each to settle at Rs 1,010, Rs 950 and Rs 850 per kg, respectively.
Traders said subdued demand from consuming industries against increased arrivals from producing belts mainly pulled down menthol prices in the wholesale chemical market.
