A couple was allegedly murdered and two girls from the family gangraped after the accused had barged into their house at Dingerheri village in the wee hours of August 25.
The probe into the matter has been handed over to the CBI.
"It is a patent case involving not only brutal atrocities and trauma on a poor family of the minority community with a clear cut communal motivation, but also gross violation of human rights," the two-member delegation, comprising CPI(M)'s leader in Lok Sabha P Karunakaran and MP Badruzza Khan, noted in a statement.
The CPI(M) leaders claimed that two of the accused belonged to the RSS, "as revealed from the contents of their Facebook accounts".
After committing the crime, the accused had tied the injured with ropes and fled from the spot. Residents of the area had rescued them and subsequently, the police were informed.
In its statement, the CPI(M) leaders also reiterated the party's position on seeking a ban on cow vigilante groups and demanded relief and security for the victims' relatives.
