"We have a union but we have not seen a single-day production loss in the past over 19 years. We have zero attrition in blue-collar category and have retained our core team of around 120 people since our entry here," Mercedes-Benz India Senior Vice-President (Operations) Piyush Arora told reporters during an interaction here today.
The company employs around 700 people at the Chakan plant near here.
"It is a question of mutual respect in both directions... how you deal with each other and then there is the question of trust," Kern said, adding, the company, like any other companies, discuss all employees related issues with the union.
Some of the core group members from the Chakan plant have also been sent to other countries like China, Iran and Vietnam to train employees in these countries, Arora said.
