"The maximum temperature was recorded at 30.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the the normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 14.5 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average, the MeT Department said.
"The mercury breaching the 30-degree Celsius mark signifies the closure of winter and also the approaching summer season," a MeT official said.
The maximum temperature recorded was 2.3 degrees more than registered yesterday. The humidity in air oscillated between 38 per cent and 96 per cent.
The weatherman has predicted clear skies for tomorrow and ruled out possibility of rain in the next 2-3 days.
