Warm sunny weather prevailed during the day in Delhi as mercury continued to hover above normal levels.
While the minimum temperature settled five notches above the normal at 14 degrees Celsius, the maximum was recorded three notches above the season's average at 28.1 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said.
In Punjab and Haryana too, the minimum temperatures stayed above normal levels. Amritsar was the coldest place in the two states with a minimum of 6.1 degrees Celsius.
The Union Territory of Chandigarh recorded a low of 11 degrees, four notches above normal while its maximum was 27.2 degrees, up by three notches.

In Haryana, Ambala had a low of 11.8 degrees, four points above normal while Bhiwani, Hisar and Karnal recorded minimum at 10.5, 11.2 and 9.9 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Maximum temperatures in both Punjab and Haryana hovered between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the high altitude tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh reeled under intense cold wave conditions.
