Mercury dips at night in Raj, Mount Abu coldest at 9 deg Cel

The night temperatures across Rajasthan have started to dip by three degrees with Mount Abu hills being the coldest at 9 degree Celsius and MeT department predicting early winter conditions to set in the state.
Despite sweltering weather in the afternoon, the night temperature across the state plummeted by one to four degree Celsius since yesterday, the report said.
"This trend of mercury fall will set early winter conditions in the state", a senior MeT official said.
Sriganganagar recorded the minimum temperature of 16.9 degree Celsius, while Udaipur recorded a minimum temperature of 16.5 degree Celsius and Jaipur 22 degree Celsius.
Western districts of Rajasthan including Jodhpur, Barmer, Bikaner, and Churu were still reeling under sultry weather conditions where maximum temperature varied between 37.4 degree Celsius and 39.6 degree Celsius.
Weatherman has forecast rain or thundershower could occur at isolated places as a fresh western disturbance is likely to hit the state in next 24 hours.
