Fresh snowfall on the Dhauladhar range brought relief from the heat for the residents here as the maximum temperature dipped to 16 degrees Celsius.
Rainfall in parts of northern India has given the sun -scorched region a welcome break from the sweltering weather and Dharamsala, too, experienced showers last evening, accompanied by moderate thunderstorm.
The weather office has, meanwhile, predicted similar weather over the next 48 hours.
