Solan was coldest in non-tribal areas with minimum temperature dipping to minus 3.5 degree Celsius while Manali recorded a low of minus 3.0 deg C followed by Bhuntar minus 1 deg C, Sundernagar minus 0.6 deg C, Shimla 0.9 deg C and Mandi 1.4 deg C, two to four degree below normal.
Nahan recorded minimum temperature at 2.9 deg C, four degree below normal while Una and Dharamsala recorded a low of 2.4 and 4.4 deg C.
Keylong and Kalpa in tribal Lahual and Spiti and Kinnaur districts recorded minimum temperature at minus 10.4 deg C and minus 5.0 deg C respectively, while high altitude tribal areas reeled under arctic conditions with mercury staying between minus 12 and minus 23 deg C.
Dharamsala and Solan were hottest in the region with maximum temperatures at 17.8 deg C while Bhuntar recorded a high of 17.5 deg C, followed by Sundernagar 16.5 deg C, Nahan 15.8 deg C, Una 13.0 deg C, Shimla 12.0 deg C and Kalpa 7.2 deg C.
The local Met office has predicted dry weather in the region during next three days with the little from old wave conditions.
