Chandigarh, which received 39 mm of rainfall last evening, recorded maximum temperature of 34.4 deg C today, three notches below normal.
Ambala in Haryana, which witnessed light rains, recorded a high of 34.8 deg C, down three notches than normal while Hisar recorded a maximum temperature of 38.1 deg C, down two notches.
Light showers were reported from Bhiwani and Karnal which recorded maximum temperature of 36.2 deg C and 35.8 deg C, respectively, the MeT Department here said.
Ludhiana and Patiala in Punjab also recorded below normal maximums of 36.5 deg C and 35.6 deg C, respectively.
The MeT has forecast rains at isolated places in the two states tomorrow.
