Temperatures in parts of northern India saw a rise today as the region received mild showers amid mostly humid conditions.
It was a hot, muggy day in the national capital which, at 36.5 degrees Celsius, saw a slight rise in the maximum temperature over yesterday's 35 degrees.
The minimum was recorded at 26.7 degrees while humidity in air ranged between 57 and 92 per cent, making it a sweaty day for Delhiites.
The forecast, however, is for cloudy skies tomorrow with a likelihood of light rainfall and thundery developments in some parts, local MeT officials said.
In Uttar Pradesh, light to moderate rainfall and thundershowers took place at isolated places even as the major rivers in the state continued to flow above the danger mark at several places.
With monsoon remaining active in the state, Mirzapur received 40mm rainfall followed by Hamirpur (30mm) and Chunar (20mm).
