The rise in temperature brought respite to people, who had been reeling under the intense cold wave conditions for the last two weeks.
In Delhi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 24.1 degrees Celsius, which was four notches above the season's average for this time of the year, making it a relatively warm day for the residents of the national capital.
The minimum temperature here was recorded at 10.6 degrees Celsius, four notches above the normal, making the morning pleasant.
Delhi, yesterday, had recorded its highest minimum (12.2 deg C) and maximum temperatures (24.5 deg C) for this time of the season in at least five year.

In Haryana and Punjab, the minimum temperature hovered above normal for the second day today giving respite to the people from biting cold conditions.
Chandigarh recorded a minimum temperature of 8.1 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
In Haryana, Ambala registered a low of 9.4 deg C, up three notches from normal while Hisar's low settled at 7.3 deg C, up by one notch.
Amritsar, in Punjab, recorded a low of 4.1 deg C, which was one deg C above normal, while minimum temperatures in Ludhiana settled at 10.2 deg C, three degrees above normal and in two notches above average in Patiala at 9.4 degree Celsius.
Cold wave tightened its grip across Kashmir Valley as the minimum temperature dropped at most places. Leh was the coldest recorded area at minus 11.8 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature recorded in Srinagar was minus 3. 7 degrees Celsius against yesterday's minus 2.7 degrees Celsius, a MET office spokesman said.
