Sriganganagar was the hottest place in the state with a day temperature of 46.4 degrees Celsius followed by Bikaner and Phalodi which recorded day temperatures of 45.5 degrees Celsius each, according to MeT department.
Kota and Churu recorded a maximum of 44.2 and 44 degrees Celsius while the temperature in Barmer and Jaipur was 43.6 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said here.
Blistering heat affected life in other parts of the state with Pilani, Jaisalmer and Ajmer recording 43.5, 43.2 and 42.4 degrees Celsius.
