Met forecasts heavy rain in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal

The Met department today forecast heavy to very heavy rain in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, while isolated places in the southern parts of the state are likely to experience heavy downpour till tomorrow.
The Sub-Himalayan districts of the state are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rains till tomorrow, following which the intensity is likely to reduce to heavy precipitation for the next two days.
Gangetic West Bengal in the southern part of the state is likely to receive heavy rain in isolated places till tomorrow, the weatherman said.
The southern districts are likely to experience fairly widespread rain in the next three days.
Little or no rainfall was experienced in different parts of the state in 24 hours till 8.30 AM this morning, with only Bankura (22.8 mm) and Diamond Harbour (20.8 mm) recording double digit figures.
The metropolis, which remained overcast since yesterday morning, recorded 3.8 mm rainfall during the said period.
