Light rainfall occurred at one or two places in north eastern parts of the state except in Kishanganj where heavy rainfall was recorded from one or two places in the district.
Among the four major cities, Patna and Purnea registered 0.4 mm rainfall while Gaya and Bhagalpur recorded no rainfall in the past 24 hours.
In its forecast for the next 24 hours, the department said Patna, Gaya and Bhagalpur may witness generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder while Purnea may witness a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain.
Bhagalpur registered highest maximum temperature in the state at 38.3 degree celsius, followed by Patna at 36.8 degrees, Gaya at 36.4 degrees and Purnea at 33.8 degrees celsius.
Purnea was the most humid place with 87 per cent humidity followed by Bhagalpur at 81 per cent, Gaya at 79 per cent and Patna at 69 per cent.
