In a first of its kind in Kerala, Mahatma Gandhi University is introducing Minor programmes in engineering along with the B.Tech courses in a bid to improve the employability of the students.
The Minor programmes would be offered to students of B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology and Polymer Engineering at the university College of Engineering, Thodupuzha.
The initiative was intended to enhance the quality of engineering education as well as the employability of engineering graduates, MGU Vice-Chancellor Dr Babu Sebastian said in a press release here today.
