In the film, Keaton, 63, played the role of a manic and demented spirit alongside co-stars Winona Ryder, Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin, reported people magazine.
"I hope and I am excited. We don't know yet," Keaton said about the prospect of reuniting with Burton, who also directed him in two 'Batman' films.
Keaton, who received the prestigious Modern Master Award for his body of work at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, said he is fan of Burton.
"Burton is unique, and that's not a word you can apply to many people. And also original - certainly not a word you can apply to many people. He is both of those things and also an artist," he said.
