Michelle Obama is getting a guided tour of the Italian pavilion at the Expo 2015 world's fair from Italy's first lady and meeting with Italian schoolchildren.

Michelle is leading a presidential delegation today to the world's fair, organised around issues concerning food and nutrition, which dovetails with the US first lady's "Let's Move" initiative to fight childhood obesity through diet and exercise.

Premier Matteo Renzi's wife, Agnese Landini, was taking Mrs. Obama on a tour of the five-story pavilion and a local elementary school class was briefing Mrs. Obama on their project to help feed the planet.

Her next stop is the US Pavilion designed by American architect James Biber where she will meet with university students selected as ambassadors at Expo.
