US First Lady Michelle Obama will announce a new partnership to further adolescent girls' education in Pakistan, the White House said today.
The announcement in this regard would be made by the First Lady at a White House event tomorrow wherein she would welcome the visiting First Lady of Pakistan Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif and her daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Michelle would be meeting them in the Blue Room of the White House soon after US President Barack Obama meets the visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at his Oval Office of the White House tomorrow morning.
There will be a performance by students from the Washington Performing Arts Society Children's Choir on the occasion, the White House said.
Soon after arrival at the Blair House - the official guest house of the US President where the visiting leader is staying - Maryam Nawaz Sharif twitted a letter from the US First Lady Michelle Obama wherein she welcomed Nawaz Sharif and Kulsoom Nawaz.
"We are happy to welcome you back to the United States. The President and I are delighted to host you here at the Blair House in Washington, and we hope you enjoy your visit," the First Lady said.
