Microsoft, NI Sign Mou with ICT Academy

Aiming to enhance IT skills at technical and academic levels, Microsoft has joined hands with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Academy of Kerala for mutual participation in programmes.
Microsoft India Ltd has signed an MoU with the Academy in this regard, a press release said.
National Instruments (NI) has also entered into an agreement with the Academy to contribute towards improving the quality of engineering sector.
It would impart engineering skills to students and faculties of ICTAK member colleges and has signed an MoU with the Academy at a meet held for engineering students of Thiruvanathapuram at Technopark here.
Pointing out the importance of education and qualification in the job market, ICT Academy chairman and co-founder of Infosys S D Shibulal said good communication skills and experience in the job concerned were necessities to emerge successful in any job.
He was responding to queries raised by students. "The need of the hour is to acquire skills essential for each sector and one should strive for the same," Academy Board Member and Founder of IBS Group V K Mathews said.

On the occasion of the Academy's first anniversary, student's interaction programme was organised at Technopark.
The first copy of 'CONVERGENCE', an international journal was released by Academy Chairman S D Shibulal by handing over a copy to Chief Editor Dr A S Manoj.
Directors of ICTAK, TCS Academic Relations Head Dr K Kesavaswami, UST Global Chief Administrative Officer Alexander Varghese and ICTAK CEO Santhosh Kurup were among those present.
