Militant hideout busted in Doda

Security forces today busted a hideout in near Chilli area in Doda district and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
"Acting on specific inputs, Delta Force launched a swift and surgical joint search operation in Amrai Nala near Chilli area in Doda district and busted a hideout, seizing a huge cache of arms and ammunition," Defense Spokesman Lt Col Manish Mehta said.
He said the cache of arms included one AK47 rifle, four 12 bore rifles, one pistol, four AK47 magazines, two SLR magazines, 150 rounds of 7.62 mm AK-47 ammunition, 100 Rounds of 7.62 mm assorted ammunition, one Chinese hand grenade, one pouch, one pressure stove and a blanket.

The arms and ammunition were suspected to be belonging to one of the Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists active in the area in the past, he said.
