The Chinese hosted the BPM, opposite Bum La in Arunachal Pradesh, in which Brigadier D S Kushwah, Commander of Tawang Brigade, led the Indian delegation while Colonel Tang Fu Cheng, Commander of TsonaDzong Garrison, led the Chinese side, defence sources said here.
The Indian delegation crossed the international border for the meeting marked by unfurling of the national flags of both the countries followed by formal address by the leaders of the two sides.
Both sides also sought to build on the mutual feeling to uphold the treaties and agreements signed between the governments of the two sides to maintain peace and tranquility along the LAC, they said.
Early this week GOC-in-C Eastern command along with GOC 4 Crops had visited the bordering Bum La pass and took stock of the border situation.
