Milk dealer robbed of Rs 45,000 by bike-borne men

A 40-year-old milk dealer was robbed of Rs 45,000 at gunpoint by motorcycle-borne armed assailants in Loni area, police said today.
The incident took place last night when Mahesh, a resident of Indirapuri colony, was returning home after collecting money from his customers, they said.
"Mahesh was walking towards a bus stand when five armed assailants on two motorcycles stopped him and asked him to give his money.
"One of the accused hit him on the head with the butt of a gun when he refused to give. After injuring Mahesh, the accused fled away with Rs 45,000," a police officer said.
Mahesh sustained minor injuries on his head and hands, he said, adding that he is currently undergoing treatment.
A case has been registered against the unidentified persons at Loni police station.
