Millgate sugar eases on adequate stocks

Millgate sugar prices drifted up to Rs 30 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today owing to slackened demand against ample stocks position on higher supplies from millers.
Traders said sluggish demand against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from mills mainly kept pressure on millgate sugar prices.
In the millgate section, Kinnoni, Asmoli and Dorala were quoted lower at Rs 2,610, Rs 2,600 and Rs 2,505 instead of Rs 2,630,Rs 2,630 and Rs 2,530 per quintal, respectively.
Budhana, Thanabhavan and Dhanora also eased to Rs 2,495, Rs 2,490 and Rs 2,470 against last close of Rs 2,510, Rs 2,500 and Rs 2,490 per quintal, respectively.
