Milo Ventimiglia considered playing Kevin on 'This Is Us'

It is hard to imagine anyone else in the role of Jack Pearson on "This Is Us" but actor Milo Ventimiglia has revealed that he initially thought about taking the role of Kevin when he read the show's pilot script.
Kevin, a struggling actor on the show, is Ventimiglia's onscreen son and is played by Justin Hartley, reported Entertainment Weekly.
"At first, I was like, 'Should I be Kevin?' Because I'm an actor. So I'm thinking, 'Well, maybe, no, I'll be the actor,'" Ventimiglia said during a panel on the hit family show.
"But then, you know, I'd been a huge fan of not only Dan Fogelman but John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, and I knew the three of them together, and I believed in what they believed in me."

Ventimiglia said it was not hard to identify with Jack's character even though he does not have children in real life.
"When I dove into Jack, I found this instant connection to a man that felt incredibly familiar even though I don't have kids and it just felt right," the actor said.
