The 40-year-old actor, who plays husband Jack to Moore's Rebecca in the NBC show, joked he did not get a call from his onscreen wife's fiance before they made it official, reported FemaleFirst.
"So excited for her, and Taylor is the loveliest of human beings. Getting to know him as well as getting to know Mandy through the years, it works, it fits, it makes sense.
"I didn't get the phone call asking for her hand in marriage. I'm not upset, we're just TV spouses," Ventimiglia told Extra.
