Min temp rise in HP even as sky remains partially overcast

Minimum temperatures rose by a few notches in most parts of Himachal Pradesh as the region had a dry day even as strong winds swept the region and the sky remained partially overcast.
Keylong and Kalpa in the tribal districts of Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur recorded minimum temperatures of 6.9 degrees Celsius and 8.2 degrees Celsius respectively, two degrees above normal while Manali recorded a low of 8.8 degrees Celsius, followed by Bhuntar 15.2 degrees Celsius, Solan 15.3 degrees Celsius, Shimla 15.4 degrees Celsius, Sundernagar 19.6 degrees Celsius, Una 21 degrees Celsius, Nahan 22.2 degrees Celsius and Dharamsala 22.8 degrees Celsius.
Una in Shivalik foothills was the hottest in the state recording a high of38 degrees Celsius while Sundernagar and Bhuntar recorded maximum temperature of 33.5 degrees Celsius and 32.2 degrees Celsius respectively, followed by Nahan 31.1 degrees Celsius, Dharamsala 28.8 degrees Celsius, Solan 28.5 degrees Celsius, Kalpa 23.4 degrees Celsius and Shimla 22.6 degrees Celsius.
The local MeT office has predicted rains and thunderstorm at isolated places in mid hills over next six days and rains and thunderstorm in the lower and higher hills for three days from may 12 to May 14.
