Mini-gun factory unearthed in Nadia

A 50-member CID team conducted raids at Kalyani in Nadia district and recovered at least 25 firearms and 100 crude bombs besides unearthing a mini-gun factory,.
A CID official said that the raids were continuing today.
Eight arrests were made, including that of Prashanto Biswas, who is out on bail, the CID official said.
The raids were conducted at Lichutala and surrounding areas under Kalyani Police Station area in homes, clubs and fields, the official said.
The 25 firearms include small and large guns, the Official said.
The bombs were kept in the middle of a playfield at a school, the official said.

The arrested will be produced before the court of the Sub-divisional district magistrate, Kalyani, tomorrow, the official said.
