"The new TRC complex will be constructed at a cost of Rs four crore", the minister said after laying the foundation of the complex at Katra - the base camp of Vaishno Devi.
The upcoming three-storey TRC complex with a provision for parking, would have a restaurant, waiting hall, 10 rooms with attached toilet facility, two suit rooms, a conference hall, 12-bed capacity two dormitories and a multipurpose hall.
The Minister said that the project sanctioned by the Union Ministry of Tourism will be completed in three years time.
Staing the number of pilgrims to Vaishno Devi was increasing every year, he said, the TRC will provide necessary information to the visitors and help to divert the rush to other tourist potential spots of the region.
