"Needless to say that while reversing the vehicle, specially on turning, the driver should be over cautious and which in the present case seem to be missing.
"It is a clear case of negligence on the part of the respondent," MACT Presiding Officer Naveen Arora said and directed Reliance General Insurance Company Ltd, the insurer of the offending vehicle, to pay a compensation of Rs 3,42,322 lakh to the father of the child.
The tribunal held the driver guilty of the offence while noting that he did not reply to the allegations levelled against him.
