The victim, identified as Ranjeet, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital here yesterday afternoon. Police have registered a complaint based on statement of Ranjeet's mother.
A police officer said the victim's mother has accused the gas agency of negligence for the accident.
A case of negligent conduct with respect to fire has been registered at Narela police station here. The investigation into the matter is on.
As per the police, Ranjeet's father Ashok was away when the accident took place around 9 pm on May 22.

The boy's mother had gone out of the kitchen to drink water and when she returned, she found that the cooking gas cylinder was leaking.
"Before she could react, the cylinder exploded, setting the house on fire. The woman managed to escape, but Ranjeet could not," the police said, adding that he was rushed to a hospital in outer Delhi's Bawana area.
The boy was soon referred to Lok Nayak Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries yesterday, the officer added.
