The incident occurred yesterday evening when 10-year-old Abhay, a resident of Gausna village, was returning home after grazing his cattle and a huge storm accompanied with rains lashed the area, government sources said.
The boy, who took shelter near a house, was trapped as the wall near him collapsed on him, they said.
Villagers rushed the victim to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Regarding deaths due to natural disasters, the central and state governments had announced an ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh and Rs 3 lakh respectively to the family of the deceased, Mahavan tehsildar Devendra Singh said.
They also said that the injuries and losses borne by others would be ascertained and they too would be given financial assistance.
