Minor delivering baby in school washroom: Accused arrested

A 39-year-old man, who allegedly raped and impregnated a Class IX girl student, following which she delivered a baby in her school washroom in Madhapur last year, has been arrested, police said today.
Accused Dileep Sarkar, a native of Kolkata, who runs a hotel here, allegedly raped the 15-year-old girl on at least five occasions resulting in her getting pregnant, Madhapur inspector K Narsimhulu said.
"The accused is claiming that he paid money to the girl to have physical relation with her," the Inspector said.
The minor girl had delivered a baby girl in her school's toilet at Madhapur in November last year.

After the incident, Dileep fled to West Bengal and during course of investigation after he returned to the city, he was arrested last night, the police officer said.
A case under section 376 of IPC and under relevant sections of POCSO Act has been booked against the accused.
The victim and her baby have been sent to the state home at Yousufguda here.
