A three-year-old girl who had gone missing from outer Delhi's Sanjay Colony was traced and reunited with her family within hours of her disappearance, police said Friday.
The girl went missing from her home on Thursday afternoon and was traced from Samaypur Chowk on the same day, the police said.
Seven police teams were formed to trace the girl, they said.
According to police, the photograph of the missing girl was immediately shared on the WhatsApp groups of the police station under the outer North district. Quick Response Team and emergency response vehicle was also directed accordingly, they added.
Teams were sent to Badli Metro station, Mukarba chowk, nearby parks, vacant lands, open drains, temple, Masjids, Gurudwaras, a senior police officer said.
However, with the help of a neighbour, police managed to identify and trace the girl from the Samaypur Chowk where the minor was spotted near a restaurant, the officer said.
The girl was later handed over to her family, police said.
