Minor girls raped by grandfather in UP

A nine-year-old girl and her 11-year-old cousin were allegedly raped by their grandfather at Jawahar Colony in Faridabad, police said today.
The victim's mother yesterday told police that her daughter complained of stomach ache last Saturday. On further questioning it was revealed that she had been raped by her 60-year-old grandfather Kharak Singh in presence of her cousin, they said.
Later, upon discussion between the complainant and her sister-in-law it was found the 11-year-old girl too was sexually assaulted by Singh, police said.
On the basis of the complaint, a case under Section 376 (rape) of IPC and Section 6 of the POCSO Act was registered at Saran police station, investigating officer Asha said.

Initial medical report has confirmed rape and more reports are awaited, the officer said, adding that the accused has not been arrested yet in view of the pendency of initial investigation.
