Minor sexual assault case: School manager dies

An aged school manager accused of sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl has succumbed to his injuries after her parents and relatives had thrashed him over the allegation, police said.
70-year-old Dilip Kumar died last night at the Hallett Hospital here where he had been admitted to after the incident.
The incident was triggered when the minor, a kindergarten student refused to go to her school located in Bhavani Nagar area in Chakeri here.
On February 21, the girl had alleged being assaulted by the manager, following which her parents and some relatives reached the school premises, caught the accused and thrashed him, they said.

Kumar was admitted to the hospital by his relatives after sustaining grievous injuries.
Chakeri SHO S K Singh had reached the scene of the incident and on the girl's family request had lodged a complaint against him.
But, his death has now turned the situation around as the police is now looking to file FIR against the relatives of the girl who beat him up.
Kanpur Cantonment Police's Circle Officer, Avinash Mishra has said that after the manager's death, a final report will be added to the FIR lodged against him and that matter will be closed but complaint will be registered and action will be taken against the relatives of the girl who beat him up.
