Minor sexually assaulted by vagabond at govt hospital premises

An 11-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man at the premises of a government hospital in outer Delhi's Rohini sub-city, police said today.
The incident was reported around three days ago when the accused, identified as a vagabond often seen around Sector 6, allegedly lured the boy and took him to the hospital premises, where he allegedly sodomised him and fled the spot, said a police official.
The incident took place in a secluded ward on the fourth floor of the hospital building. A case has been registered under Section 377 of IPC and relevant sections of POCSO Act, said police.

A police team is searching for the accused who was never seen in the area after the incident, police added.
The victim, whose father sells food articles outside the hospital, often accompanied his father and played around the hospital premises, police added.
