The smoke was reported at one of the technical rooms of the station around 9.55 PM, metro and fire authorities said, adding it did not affect the train services.
"As a precautionary measure, three fire tenders were called in, but were not actually used as the smoke was locally put to rest," a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMCR) official said.
A similar incident had taken place on June 1 at the Barakhamba Road station, which falls between Mandi House and Rajiv Chowk stations.
