A 17-year-old tribal girl was allegedly abducted and gangraped by seven youths for nine days in Chhattisgarh's Jashpur district, police said today.
Six of the accused in the case were today arrested from separate places under Jashpur police station limits, Station House Officer GS Dubey told PTI over phone.
The victim, a native of Tapkara region, was abducted on November 18 while she was heading to her aunt's place on the outskirts of Jashpur.
After alighting from a public transport, she was walking towards her destination when four youths on two motorbikes interrupted her and offered her a lift, he said.
When she refused, they forcibly took her to a nearby tourist spot, Damera, where they allegedly gangraped her. Their three other friends joined them enroute to the spot, the SHO said.
For the next nine days, the accused moved to various tourist places in the region and repeatedly sexually exploited the girl.
