The move comes after Home Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed facilities granted to minority communities from neighbouring countries and directed officials to conduct more special camps in coming months so that all pending cases related to LTV and citizenship are resolved before August 15.
Facilities to be given to these minority communities include opening of bank accounts, purchase of dwelling units for self occupation and self employment, issuing driving licence, PAN card, Aadhar card and reduction of fees for registration as citizens of India.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has extended several facilities to these minority communities like submitting the application for registration as citizen of India in the offline mode in case they are not able to file these applications online.
Also permission to submit an affidavit for the Renunciation Certificate for citizenship and grant of initial LTV for a period of five years at a time, instead of one year.
