Actress Mischa Barton has been told by a court that she must pay USD 200,000 to screenwriter Daniel Lief after she bailed on his movie "Promoted".
Barton, 30, had been cast in the lead role.
Lief decided to sue the "Notting Hill" actress after he saw pictures of her on social media travelling around Europe, reported TMZ.
He claims the delay in production and the need to recast the lead role cost him more than USD 300,000.
