According to the 31-year-old actress' lawyer, Lisa Bloom, the "revenge porn" case has ended in a victory for "The O C" star, reported Variety.
In March, reports said that a sex tape involving Barton went viral on porn outlets. The actress retaliated when she filed a lawsuit against Zacharias, one of the alleged peddlers of the tape.
Barton and Bloom appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday and reached a settlement with Zacharias, under which he agreed not to distribute any of the images and to turn them over to the actress, as per CBS Los Angeles.
"Her ex must stay 100 yards away from her today, tomorrow, and forever. And the court will retain jurisdiction over the case in case we need further enforcement," Bloom said in a statement to People.
As per the papers filed in the court, Barton had alleged that Zacharias recorded them while they were having sex and even photographed her in the nude without her knowledge.
The suit added that Zacharias was trying to sell the tapes for USD 500,000.
